We had so much fun when my mom was here; we were all so sad to see her leave! On Sunday the 21st, we went to brunch at Sardine with Tracy & Rori, and then my mom, Dan, Kate and I headed to the Eppelgaarden to see if there was anything fun going on there. There was, but poor little Kate was sacked out by the time we got there, so we didn't stay long. Then I was at my forum Monday-Thursday (and, naturally, I missed Kate so much!) so my mom took Kate to her various classes and activities. Then on Friday, my mom, Kate and I went to the zoo, which was a blast. Kate's favorite thing was seeing the lion look right at us and letting out a huge roar. Very cool!
That night, we had an early anniversary dinner for my grandparents at Mariner's Inn; the food and atmosphere was fantastic. Go figure, though, my camera battery was dead, so no pictures from that outing! Then on Saturday, we had our harvest dinner, and Sunday, we went to the Outback for lunch with Tracy, Rori and my grandparents before my mom had to catch her flight. All in all, a very fun vacation!

Nana's Visit
Kate sacked out at the Eppelgaarden
She doesn't quite seem to get how these things are supposed to work... she's looking the wrong way!
If you look carefully you can see her peeking in through the paw on our right
Such a big girl to ride the carousel jaguar all by herself!
The table set for our harvest dinner
My milk chocolate, white chocolate, pretzel and candy Halloween bark I made
Little witches' hats that my mom made out of Oreos and kisses
Dan cooking the delicious squash soup. I love a man who can cook
My mom got this beautiful arrangement for us; I love it!
Finally, Kate's looking at the camera! :)

Treinen Farm
My mom is in town to watch Kate when I have to go to Chicago yet again for work, but luckily I don't have to go until Monday. So today we had a great time going up to the Treinen Farm in Lodi, just about a half hour from our place. Kate loved the bouncy house castle, and we all enjoyed the hay ride, picking your own pumpkins, and the corn maze (Dan, my mom, and Tracy stayed outside with Kate while she played in the sand box near the playground). It was a breathtakingly beautiful fall day.
