Dan's 1st Father's Day

Dan had a great first Father's Day. We had the Hines over (minus Kirsti, since she was working) as well as my grandparents, and Nancy was still here, so that was fun. We ate a "fancy oatmeal" dish that had walnuts, cranberries and apples, as well as fresh fruit, coffee, non-alcoholic mimosas, cream cheese brownies and chocolate chip cookies. Tracy & Dan also brought over some delicious blueberry muffins.

Whew; baking is hard work. I'm tuckered out!

She loved the bracelets!

Some more summer fun...

Kate had her doctor's appointment yesterday; she is up to 13 lbs, 13 oz. and 25 inches! She is really growing a lot!

Here are some more pictures from our trip to Utah:

Then, back in Madison...

More Utah fun

My vacation to Utah was spent mainly eating yummy food at all my favorite restaurants and hanging out with family, so it was the perfect vacation!

She looks so cute with hats; too bad she doesn't really like them!

Meeting Grandpa and Uncle Austin

We flew out to Utah on June 2, Austin's birthday, and it was great because our plane got in at around 12:30, so we had most of the day to hang out with everyone. My mom's good friend, Belinda (who is like an aunt to me; I love her!) and her daughter, Jessica (who is the mom of our ring bearer, Lex) came down to Ogden to meet us. We had lunch at Rooster's, which was really good, and my dad and Austin came along before heading to Austin's eye appointment. I think it's safe to say that Kate has effectively wrapped Grandpa and Austin around her little finger!

At the airport, ready to go through security on her very first flight!

Austin and Belinda; the two birthday people (both were born on June 2; how cool).

At Tempanyaki that night for Austin's birthday; Kate was enthralled with the hibachi cooking (although she's just looking down in this picture, but I promise she was thoroughly entertained!)

Grandpa offered to hold her so that I could eat

June Fun!

Sorry I've been so bad about updating lately; I've been having a blast during the month of June! Before I left for Utah, we went to Tracy's and Dan's on Memorial Day to celebrate Kirsti's 15th birthday (I can't believe she is 15 now!), and it was a lot of fun. She had a 1970s rock music-themed party, with a Led Zeppelin/Jimmy Page cake that Dan Hines made, which was great.

The homemade cake; love it!
