Bratfest

Today we went to Bratfest, which was a lot of fun. We saw some Irish dancers, Kirsti and Rori went on some rides, and we just hung out and had a good time.

Ready to go swimming (although it turned out the pool was closed, which was too bad, since it was really hot out!)

Kate on her activity mat

The other day, Kate was being so cute on her activity mat, babbling and laughing and stuff. Then, as soon as I got the camera, she toned it down a bit... go figure. But, I still think she looks (and sounds) cute, even if she won't "perform" for the camera.

Kate Babbling

Here is a video of Kate babbling the other day. I thought she sounds so cute; I love her little voice. I'm on the phone with Dan in the background, discussing what to do for dinner, so just ignore me. :)

And Baby Makes Three...

On our third anniversary :) Last night, Dan and I celebrated three years of wedded bliss by going to the Ocean Grill while Nancy watched Kate. It was pouring rain when we were at the restaurant--seriously just pounding rain--so we were joking that it's a good thing May 26, 2010 in Madison wasn't our actual wedding day!

We were thinking of going to a movie, too, but I hadn't pumped enough for more than a couple of hours (plus Dan had to work this morning) so we just headed home afterward and exchanged our cards.

I keep thinking about our beautiful wedding day three years ago; how gorgeous it was outside, how happy I was to be marrying my soulmate, and how wonderful it was to share the day with family and friends. I am so lucky that my parents were generous enough to give me the wedding of my dreams; it was a day I will never forget!

Poor Dan doesn't look too enthused about all the pictures, but I told him that compared to how many pictures we took three years ago on this day, three photos are a piece of cake! ;)

Kate and Aunt Nancy

Kate loves having her Aunt Nancy here; we hope she stays a very long time! Nancy took some cute pictures of Kate today, so I uploaded them to my computer, and there were also some good ones from when she was here in March.

Kate at five weeks old with me, Nana, Great-Grandma and Great-Grandpa at the Market Street Diner

Also from Nancy's March trip; this is the three of us at the Essenhaus. Look how tiny Kate is!

Here are the ones from today; Kate looks so much older!

Kate as Elvis

Here is a video of Kate "dancing" to Dan's version of Heartbreak Hotel.

Sorry that the sound is not the greatest; we just took this with my camera. And I didn't turn the camera the right way, so you have to turn your head to the side, but hey, at least you can see Kate :)

Cute little Kate

Here she is the other day, just hanging out in her swing.

Today, Dan was saying that Kate looked like Elvis, since her collar was turned up on her outfit. So he was making her stand up and dance while he sang Heartbreak Hotel. Look how well she stands!

Breaking out the summer clothes

Today is absolutely gorgeous out; probably high 70s, low 80s, so Kate and I broke out the summer clothes. This is a dress my friend Mee Soon gave her, and I think she looks absolutely adorable!

Getting ready to go on our walk. The hat doesn't exactly match the dress, but I didn't want her little head to get sunburned. I put sunscreen everywhere else, but I didn't really want to get sunscreen in her hair, so I figured the hat would be a better option. This is the only one I could find that wasn't a winter hat. :)

She looks so much like Dan in this picture!

Yesterday, we went to Rori's end-of-year picnic at school. It was a lot of fun, and she was so happy we came.

Playtime

Today Kate was almost giggling on her mat (not quite, but almost). I bet it's only a few more weeks until I get to hear that cute baby laugh!

I love how she crosses her hands like that when she sleeps. Dan and I both do that all the time, so who knows which one of us she got it from? ;)

Rori's Recital

We had Rori's dance recital tonight, and she looked so cute. And she did a fantastic job!

Her ballet costume for the "Parakeet Polka"

I did her hair and makeup, and I think it turned out pretty well, if I do say so myself!

Her tap number was called "Pink Jewels" or "Pretty Jewels" or something like that

I tried to do an at-home photo shoot, using a bedsheet as a backdrop. Wallace didn't really cooperate that well. Either that, or I suck at photo taking! (I suspect it's the latter...)

I love this outfit; my mom's good friend Mark Nelson gave this to her.

"Really. Mama? More pictures?"

"Uh, a little help here? I'm falling!"

"Um, anyone notice that I seem to be tipping over? Anyone?"
