A Great Weekend!

On Saturday, we went to Lake Mills for lunch, and on our way out spied a table with crafts for kids (since the art fair was going on). Kate had a blast painting with vegetables; she made quite the picture! Afterward we went to the beach and swam for a couple hours. Then we went back home, had dinner, and then Dan and I got one of the most coveted things ever---a date!! We just went to Uno's for drinks and dessert while my mom watched the kids, and it was the most glorious couple of hours ever.

On Sunday we went to the Ehrke family picnic, and then my family & Rori went over to the Fort Atkinson aquatic center. It's a lot like our one in Sun Prairie, but the difference is they'll let her go down the big waterslide with me (which they won't in SP, and she's not tall enough to go on her own). So of course she had a blast doing that! Owen, however, is so not a water baby; he looked rather displeased the whole time.

Dells trip!

Again, I have better pictures on my camera, but right now uploading the phone photos is all I can handle ;) I'll get the other Dells photos up shortly. We had a wonderful time at the Wilderness; Kate is such a little daredevil, we had so much fun going on all the slides together! (Well, all the slides she is tall enough for!) And Owen, while he doesn't seem to like the water nearly as much as Kate does, still had fun relaxing and motoring around our condo. He's quite the crawler!

 Dan picked up a jogging stroller off Craigslist when I was up at the lake, so we tried it out the day after we got back. I love it, but it's quite the workout! My arms and shoulders were certainly feeling it the next day; I guess pushing 60+ extra pounds while jogging (or, er, walking most of the time) will do that to you!

Turtle Lake

On our last full day up at the cabin, we went to the Turtle Lake Fair. We had so much fun, that I took Kate back that night so we could see it all lit up. It was fun to have some one-on-one time with my little girl!

 So cute how they're sleeping in the exact same position! (And no, I don't let them sleep together if I'm sleeping; way too unsafe with Kate's crazy antics! But I was just happy I got them down at the same time so I could read my book).

Time to head to the Dells! And I think we may need a minivan even if we don't have a third kid; traveling is getting cramped!

Summer Updates!

Ok, so I've been horrible about updating; sorry! Things have just been so busy (in a good way!) Here are some random shots from my phone; I still need to get all the photos uploaded from my camera.

 We had a great time with Janet and Karen over the fourth of July. Here are some shots of Kate with Karen before we left for the lake. 

 When we were up at the lake (Monday 7/7 through Saturday 7/12) we went to this second hand store and found this popper toy for $3.00. As you can see Owen is so excited by it, so I think it was a good investment!
