Fun with family!

We loved having Austin, Steph and Ronnie visiting over the 4th of July! And, not surprisingly, Owen was obsessed with the fireworks!

Catching up....

Summer is once again getting away from me; no! I'm not ready for school to start in 5 1/2 weeks! We're having too much fun here enjoying this blissfully hot weather (well, except it definitely puts a damper on my running outside! Some days even at 5 am, it's already 78 degrees! So it's back to the gym for now...)

More summer fun

On Wednesday, after art camp, we went to my parents' house because he had some friends from Sweden visiting; the girls were just about Kate and Owen's age. The language barrier was no problem; they had so much fun playing together!

Project Runway: Royal Fashon Design Art Camp

On Monday, Kate started a week long art camp (from 1-3 pm every day) that focused on medieval history and fashion design (now you KNOW she's my child, right?? :)) She absolutely loved it; she's very into art and history, so this was the perfect class for her. And I was amazed at how much she learned; she would come home and talk about grids, and outlines, and shading... she definitely learned a lot of art this week!

 Owen and I decided to kill time by getting his hair cut... He was so cute; he walked right up to the woman and said, "HI! I Owen. That my mom, Amanda." He is so social!

 On Tuesday we met our friends Renee and Emma at the park in Deforest. Kids had a blast!

I didn't bring their swimsuits since it was only high 60s, but Owen went in the splash pad anyway. Looks like he regrets his decision....
