More of Kate Crawling

Here's a brief video of Kate crawling (again). Yes, it is November, and yes, we live in Wisconsin, and yes, she is wearing a summer outfit. I promise I'm not a bad parent; it's been in the high 60s/low 70s here, so she's getting some more wear out of her summer outfits. And, as a side note, the reason I had to stop the video so abruptly is because she was, once again, going for something she should not. *Sigh*

So Big!

Today, while we were eating breakfast, Kate did "So big!" for the first time. She is so proud of herself; it's so cute. We met Tracy for lunch, and she of course clapped and told Kate she did a good job, so Kate kept doing it for almost 10 minutes! It was so funny, like she was thinking, "Ok, people like it when I do this; I better keep going!"

I got it on video tonight after we had dinner (sweet potatoes and apples; her favorite!)

Kate Crawling

Here's a video of Kate doing her new favorite pastime--chasing Maxine. She normally crawls much faster than this, but go figure, whenever I get the camera out, she doesn't do things like she normally does. (As a side note, she's wearing her "Baby's 1st Thanksgiving" shirt from my mom.)

Halloween Fun

On Friday, we went to Middleton to see my friend Meghan and her baby Adelaide; she was so cute and tiny! I can't believe Kate was that size just seven months ago (Addy's almost a month old)! Then Kate and I headed to the Middleton library for a costume parade for the kids. Kate loved seeing people her age all dressed up. Dan met us there, since it was late enough in the day for him to leave work and he works only five minutes away from the library. We went out to eat afterward, so it was a fun start to our weekend.

On Sunday, we went over to the Hines' as we always do and went trick or treating with Kate and Rori. Kate loved it (even though she had no idea what was going on), but she clutched her basket so tightly and looked so excited when people gave her candy (which, of course, *I* will eat). Afterward, we ordered pizza and just hung out until Kate had a melt down (a not-uncommon occurrence) and we had to leave.

Trying to crawl (which, by the way, she did for the first time on Halloween; she wanted to get Rori's candy!)

Umm, why does she get candy and I don't?

Proudly clutching her basket

Hey, why is this empty now?

The first time crawling; apparently candy was the motivation!

Oliver!

We saw Tracy and Rori perform in Oliver! on Saturday. Tracy was amazing as always, and little Rori did such a fantastic job; we're so proud she's our goddaughter! It was such a great show; so many people were really of a Broadway-talent caliber.

Poor little orphan Rori

Rori was so great with her facial expressions; here they are in the workhouse, and they're supposed to look all dejected and whatnot, and little Rori did a fantastic job.

Cutie! I love her so much; she is such a great little actress!

Tracy & Rori with Tony, her hair stylist (I also go to his salon; he and his staff are amazing), his partner Alex, and their son D'Capone.

Kate loved all the singing and dancing, but she just couldn't manage to stay awake through the whole thing.

Kate woke up just to take a picture with her grand-aunt; how nice and cooperative of her!
