We had a great July 4th. We relaxed here in the morning and finished making some of our treats for the festivities today; strawberry cream pie, red velvet cupcakes, etc. Then we went to the Monona fair, where Kate had a blast on all the rides! We then headed to Tracy's house, where we grilled out, swam, and set off fireworks when dark. I love summer!

OK, THAT is NOT Maxine...I don't know what you did with the real Maxine but you aren't fooling me. The real Maxine would never, I repeat, never, let Kate get close enough to touch her let alone pet her.
Haha, I know; that's why I had to take a picture! It was crazy... Now Kate says "Now we don't have to give her to Grandma Gail!" haha.
